Vision

The Nippon Maritime Center Limited (NMC) is a non-profit organization incorporated as a public company limited by guarantee in accordance with the laws of Singapore.

NMC represents the collective maritime initiatives of three Japanese organisations namely The Nippon Foundation, Malacca Strait Council and The Japan Association of Marine Safety.

With the support of Japanese shipping community and leadership of Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, our twin objectives are to enhance maritime safety and to protect the marine environment in the South East Asian seas, particularly in the Malacca and Singapore Straits.

We at the NMC are dedicated to fostering closer ties in maritime cooperation, and building bridges between the South East Asian countries’ maritime community with its counterparts in Japan.

Specifically, NMC would act as a platform for one-on-one local communication as we cooperate closely with Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore to keep the Straits of Malacca and Singapore safe and clean.

Nippon Maritime Center is keen to work in collaboration among other relevant organisations to achieve these objectives.
